Rosebell M. Saxton Obituary (1934 - 2019)

Rosebell M. Saxton, age 84 of Menomonie, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie. She was born on September 25, 1934 in the Township of Friendship, Fond du lac County, WI to Roy and Emma (Hintzman) Brockway. Rose married Lowell Saxton on June 26, 1951 in Menomonie and together raised six children. She was a farm wife, who also worked at the hospital in Menomonie for many years. After her retirement she continued to volunteer at the hospital. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Lowell. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Rose is survived by five children, Melvin Saxton of Menomonie, Kathleen Mikesell (Mike Koopikka) of Elk Mound, Calvin (Kim) Saxton of Eau Claire, Darlene (Kane) Wienke of Eau Claire, Jolene (David) Nelson of Ellsworth; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, two brothers, Roger Brockway, Dale (Wanda) Brockway; one sister Diane Davis. She is further survived by many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lowell, daughter Geraldine, granddaughter Andrea Saxton, brothers Roy and Joseph, sisters Gladys, Joanne and Sharon. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Menomonie with Pastor John Johansen officiating. Burial will take place at Forest Center Cemetery in the Township of Spring Brook, Dunn County followed by a luncheon at Forest Center Nazarene Church (across from cemetery). Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and also one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.
