Roger A. Bosse Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Roger Allen Bosse, of Knapp, WI passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie, with family at his side. He was born in Britton, South Dakota to Clayton Everett Bosse and Mayme Bertina Aadland Bosse on the 19th of March 1937. He grew up on the family farm and in the Kidder area, attending elementary school and graduating from Kidder High School in 1955. He was active in all of the athletic programs during his high school years, excelling in all. After high school he joined the U.S. Marine’s and later married Lola M. Grimsrud from the Britton area in 1957. They had four children; Steven Bosse (Denise Behling) of Champlin MN, Richard Bosse (Mary Serrano Jovos of Menomonie WI and after their divorce he married Patricia Hellendrung), Bradley Bosse (Kendra Champion) of Menomonie WI, Lisa Bosse (Dennis Jorgenson) of Knapp WI. He is further survived by nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Roger worked in farming for years and worked at Lee and Hanson’s Clothing Store in Britton which led him into the retail industry. He owned Rogers Men’s Wear in Menomonie, WI. After selling it, he had several farm sales related jobs. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them very much. Roger suffered a massive stroke on October 19, 1993 followed by years of therapy and home care. He had been with St. Croix Hospice for the last year and a half. The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful care givers he has had over the many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol. Lola is happy to have been his wife for 57+ years. His children and grandchildren are blessed to have shared their lives with him. Rest in Peace Roger. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Geoff Scott officiating. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
