Phyllis I. Jents Obituary (1929 - 2015)

Phyllis (Gallman) Jents, age 86, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. She was born March 1, 1929 to Walter and Edna (Greene) Gallman on her grandparent’s (Greene) farm. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Grade School and Menomonie High School with honors. She married Charles Jents on February 17, 1950 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Kraft State Bank and Lee’s Drug Store for 37 years. Her family enjoyed camping and traveling with family and friends. Phyllis also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, making floral arrangements, teaching Sunday School, Women of St. Katherine, playing the organ and singing in the choir. Phyllis is survived by her daughter Susan (Louis) Wold; granddaughters Christi (Troy) Theye, Tara and Lindsay Wold; great-grandchildren, Marissa, Emily, Ebby and Jayden; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003; son Gary in 2009; her parents; brother Marshall Gallman; mother and father-in-law, brothers-in-law Alvin and wife, Norman (Madeline), Robert (Annabelle); sister-in-law Effie Johnson and husband; nephew Michael Jents; niece Roberta Johnson; along with uncles, aunts, cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Pastor Shawn Kauffeld officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in the Township of Menomonie. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
