Oline Stevens Obituary (1915 - 2003)

OLINE STEVENS Oline Stevens, age 88, of Wheeler, WI died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie. The former Oline Klefstad was born March 21, 1915 in the Town of Sheridan, Dunn County, Wisconsin to Ingebret and Mette (Solem) Klefstad. She was baptized and confirmed at Hay River Lutheran Church. Oline worked as a housekeeper for several years before her marriage. She married Harvey R. Stevens on Nov. 25, 1939 in Sand Creek, WI. Besides being a homemaker, especially noted for her wonderful cooking and baking, she worked as a cook at the Dunn County Health Care Center. Oline lived in the Wheeler area most of her life. She was a member of Hay River Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid, and also a member of the Clover Valley Circle. Oline will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Oline is survived by: Her three sons, Rick (Marilyn) Stevens of Madison Kelly (Diane) Stevens of Menomonie Tim (Connie) Stevens of Menomonie A son-in-law, Bob Fizel of Wheeler 6 Grandchildren Joe Fizel of Minneapolis, MN Brian (Rachel) Fizel of Woodbury, MN, Dale Fizel of Colfax Janell (Justin) Woods of Rosemount, MN Julie Stevens of Menomonie, Jackie Stevens of Menomonie 2 Great-Grandchildren, Logan Woods and Ethan Fizel A sister-in-law, Miriam Klefstad of Ridgeland Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey; a daughter, Linda Fizel; four brothers, Adolph Bottolfs, Ole, Eric and Odin Klefstad; four sisters, Gusta Peterson, Agnes Murray, Anne Klefstad and Helen Olson; and an infant son. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003 at Hay River Lutheran Church in the Town of Hay River, Dunn Co., WI with Pastor Erik Sevig officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. The family suggests memorial contributions to Hay River Lutheran Church.
