O'Jay D. Price Obituary (1948 - 2021)

O’Jay David Price, age 73, of Menomonie, WI passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, at his home. He was born Jan. 27, 1948, in Menomonie, WI to Walter and Mary (Budd) Price and grew up on the family farm in Dunn County. O’Jay was drafted into the U.S. Army and stationed in Germany until his honorable discharge. On Sept. 11, 1971, O’Jay married Kathleen Otto. They moved to Minnesota for a few years, but ultimately decided to move back to Wisconsin where they raised their three children. They later divorced in 2008. For many years, up until the day of his death, O’Jay worked for Black Valley Ag in Durand, where he enjoyed his work and all his co-workers. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football and the Packers. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed watching the deer from his trail camera’s. Over the years, he loved playing cards, shooting horseshoes and spending time with friends and family. Until recently he was an avid bowler playing on several leagues through the years. O’Jay is survived by his three children, Jayson Price, Jeremiah (Amanda) Price, Jessica (Corey) Kitchner; three grandsons, Levi Price, Garrett Kitchner, Cooper Kitchner; three step-granddaughters, Kennedy (Bryan) Weber, Bailey Kitchner and Chelsie Julson. He is also survived by a brother David Price; four sisters, Eva Boos, Victoria Forster, Mary Kay (Mark Harwick) Price, Cindy (Kenneth) Jennings; a brother-in-law Earl Curtis; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Price; ex-wife Kathleen Price; brother Gerald Price; sisters, Betty Johnson, Donna Smith, Marlys Curtis, Lois Bowe and Brenda Price in infancy; sisters-in-law, Donna Price, Joyce Price; brothers-in-law, Leroy Smith, Donald Johnson, Jerome Boos, DeWayne Bowe and Anton Forster; a niece Roberta Wermund; great niece Jeri Jo Smith; and great-nephews, Josh Meyer and Jesse Smith. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Teresa Pejsa officiating. There will be visitation at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
