Nancy C. Kapszukiewicz Obituary (1947

Nancy Carla (Ostenson) Kapszukiewicz, age 73, was joyfully reunited with her beloved husband, sister, parents, and many special animals who proceeded her on October 12, 2021. She was born on December 7, 1947, to Roy and Vivian Ostenson in Chippewa Falls, WI. She moved to Bloomer as a young girl where she met many life-long friends and made wonderful memories. After graduating in 1966 from Bloomer High School, Nancy attended the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire where she received a degree in Psychology. As a young woman, she loved to travel and often reminisced about her exciting adventures. Nancy married the love of her life, Michael Kapszukiewicz on May 21,1976. Together they raised two children, Katie and Scott. She was also the proud grandmother of Teigan and Ethan. During her life, Nancy held many positions including: CNA, secretary for the School District of the Menomonie Area, and childcare provider in her home. Because her passion was always animals, she learned how to groom dogs. Many of her happiest times were spent in the shop her husband built in the back of the garage tending to her four-legged friends. When she wasn’t with her beloved animals, Nancy could be found behind a shopping cart with her sister Mary and her niece Amy, enjoying time with family and friends at the cabin, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, chatting on the phone, playing on her computer, picking up sticks or tackling invasive species in her yard, tending to her beautiful flowers, volunteering, or attending events for her grandchildren and great nephews (Jack and Kade). She also adored her spoiled cats and energetic dog, Tabby. Nancy will be missed by her daughter Katie (Albert) Corder, son Scott, grandchildren Teigan and Ethan, nephew Tom (Larissa) Carlson, and niece Amy Carlson. She is also survived by her brother, Roy (Jing Lu), brothers-in-law Richard Carlson and David (Mary) Kapszukeiwicz, sisters-in-law Kathleen Pember, Joyce Kapszukiewicz, and Jean (Richard) Detert. She is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Mike) and special sister (Mary). A casual visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, Wisconsin. We love you; God bless you, and sweet dreams!
