Michael A. Blakley

Michael Allen Blakley, age 55, of Menomonie, WI passed away Monday, July 31, 2017.

He was born Sept. 6, 1961 in Menomonie to Loren and Lois (Dickson) Blakley.

Mike was raised in Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1980. He was very active in high school sports. Later in life he was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also passionate about the Wisconsin sports teams.

Mike worked for Don’s Super Valu in Menomonie for many years before starting Cut Rite Meat Shoppe which he co-owned until his retirement in 2014.

On April 9, 2005 Mike married Lisa Zakrzewicz in Menomonie and was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Lilyanna in 2006.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Lilyanna; a sister Kim (David) Clark; and his ex-wife Lisa Blakley.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a gathering to celebrate Mike’s life from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Halvorson Cemetery at a later date.
