Merle W. Roth Obituary (1956 - 2018)

Merle W. Roth, age 61, of Elk Mound, WI died suddenly at his home on Sunday, January 28, 2018. He was born August 9, 1956 in Menomonie, WI to Toncred and Nandee (Woods) Roth. Merle graduated from Menomonie High School in 1975 and worked many years as a CNA at the Colfax Area Nursing Home. In his younger years, Merle enjoyed dancing. He also enjoyed trips to the Casino and especially Las Vegas. Merle is survived by his brother Stan (Margaret) Roth; half-brothers, Art Jr. (Cindy) Link and Joe (Nora) Link; half-sister Mae (Gary) Lee; his close friend Norbert Gaier; and his special dog Talula. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering to celebrate Merle’s life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. Burial will be in Sherman Cemetery at a later date.
