Lucille I. Werner of Menomonie, WI passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Menomonie at the age of 92. Lucille Ione Trainor was born June 17, 1922 in the Town of Weston, Dunn County, WI. She was the first of nine children that blessed the Elbert and Winogene (Fischer) Trainor family. On August 15, 1942, Lucille married Clarence Werner at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Menomonie. In their early years, Clarence and Lucille farmed in the Town of Lucas and later in the Town of Weston. They moved to Menomonie in 1963 and were lifelong members of Peace Lutheran Church. The family is most grateful for the loving care she received at home from her caregiver Jan, then for the past 20 months at the Hestekin Family Home and from the staff of Mayo Clinic Health System in Menomonie. Lucille is survived by her three children, Dan (Kathy) Werner, Richard (Rosalie) Werner and Pat (Keith) Pickerign, all of Menomonie; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers, Janice Miller, Rosemary (Gilbert) Christianson, Kathleen (Bruce) Trinko, Robert (Mary) Trainor, John Trainor, Tom (Jo) Trainor; one brother-in-law, Robert (Virginia) Werner; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents, Elbert and Winogene Trainor; a brother, William Trainor and sister, Merle Schultz. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie with Pastor Mark Hendrickson officiating. Visitation will be at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014 and at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Menomonie, Dunn County, Wisconsin.
