Lottie E. Finder Obituary (1919 - 2014)

Lottie E. Finder, age 94, of Menomonie, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Care Partners in Menomonie with hospice. The former Lottie Ellen White was born on July 22, 1919 in Menomonie to Sever and Bertha (King) White. She attended Birthman and Hudson Road grade schools. On October 15, 1941, Lottie married Albert "OB" Finder. They lived in the Lucas Township area where they farmed and raised their family. Lottie also worked at Connell's Apple Orchard. In 1960 they moved to Menomonie, where Lottie worked many years at the Menomonie Dye House and Champion Cleaners before retirement. She resided at Hosford-Rich Apartments for over 30 years, living on her own until the age of 93, which led to many friendships. She enjoyed playing bingo and also all of the different card games at the apartment. Lottie always appreciated the company of family and friends, but also loved animals, especially her dogs. Lottie is survived by her sons, Alvin (Nancy) Finder and Rodney Finder all of Menomonie; daughter-in-law, Arlene Finder of Blaine, MN; step-grandchildren, Doug Kringle of Blaine, MN and Diane Kringle of New Richmond; a step-great-grandchild, Jasmine; brother Herb White (Lucille) of Menomonie; sisters, Viola Hobbick and Bess Crotteau both of Wisconsin Rapids; and also many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Albert in 1976; a son, Herman in 2006; brothers, Alonzo White, Bert White, John "Hyme" White, Eddie White, Bill White and Ken White; sisters, Della Carlson, Dorothy King, Carolyn Webster and Frances Smallbrook. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Paul Pillman officiating. There will be visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be Lucas Cemetery, Twp. Lucas, Dunn County, WI in the spring.
