LaVerne E. "Bud" Graske Obituary (1923 - 2017)

LaVerne Edward “Bud” Graske, age 93, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of Menomonie, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Dove Healthcare in Chippewa Falls. LaVerne was born on November 22, 1923 in Menomonie WI to Frana and Arthur Graske. He attended Clack Grade school and went to graduate from Menomonie High School in 1941 and NYA training in Eau Claire. LaVerne served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1943 to 1946. He married his sweetheart in 1948. He began working at NSP in 1948. The couple welcomed their two children. They enjoyed many great years boating and camping. LaVerne was a past Commander and Lifetime member at Hosford Chase. He was a member of Post 32, American Legion. A master and member of the Masonic Lodge 164 F+AM Menomonie WI. Member of Eau Claire Consistory. LaVerne is survived by his wife: Audrey; children: Robert “Bob” (Carol) Graske, Julie (David) Webb; grandchildren:LaDonna (Jamie) DeLorme, Monica Graske, Joe (Sunny) Webb, and Mark Graske. He was preceded in death by his parents Frana and Arthur Graske, sister Frances (Elmer) Bressler, step brother Robert (Virginia) Hansen, stepmother Alice (Jones) Graske. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Masonic and Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Menomonie with military honors by the Menomonie Veterans Honor Guard. All are welcome to attend and celebrate LaVerne’s life. The family would like to thank Dove Health for their service to LaVerne in his final days.
