Kathryn J. Jacobson Obituary (1966 - 2022)

Kathryn J. Jacobson, age 56, of Menomonie WI embraced life. She met it head on and won because she went home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, to the love ofher life: Jesus Christ. She was born January 31, 1966, in Menomonie, WI to Don and Jill (Johnson) Chase. On June 1, 1996, Kathy married Mark Jacobson at Oak Ridge Church in Menomonie. Words cannot express how much she will be missed. Kathy loved people! It didn’t matter if they were rich or poor. She especially had a heart for the lowly, downtrodden, or forgotten. She had a great sense of humor and could be silly, which made life for the people around her so much happier. She loved to laugh and joke around, but could also be serious and listen, really listen. Kathy was a member of Alliance Church in Menomonie for many years. She just recently accepted the head deaconess position. She was also very involved with the youth group as a leader. Kathy absolutely loved the kids and other leaders. In many respects a part of her was still a kid and that’s why she related so well to the youth and understood their hearts. Kathy more recently has worked at Culvers, Dicks Fresh Market and was the first manager at Hope Gospel Bargain Center in Menomonie. Kathy leaves behind her husband Mark; her sons, Daniel and Joshua Jacobson and stepdaughter Mandy Jacobson; her mother Jill Chase; an aunt, Jeneene Lowe and her children, Ward (Sheila) Lowe and Michelle Lowe; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Don Chase; maternal and paternal grandparents; and an uncle, Charles Johnson. We love you Kathy with all our hearts and will miss and remember you always and forever. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday April 23, 2022, at Menomonie Alliance Church with Pastor James Cameron officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. A lunch will be served following the service. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI assisted the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Alliance Youth Ministry.
