Kathleen Setter Kathleen R. Setter, age 80, formerly of Menomonie, died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Park Health and Rehabilitation Center in St. Louis Park, MN. Kathleen was born July 12, 1923 in Springfield, IL, to Paul and Gladys (Chilman) Raleigh. She attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and graduated from Springfield High School in 1941. Kathleen then graduated from College of St. Teresa, Winona, MN, in 1945 with a degree in Math and Physics. After teaching high school in Dickinson, ND, she accepted a teaching position in the oil camps in Temblador, Venezuela working for Creole (Exxon). There she met and married Alfred Setter of Menomonie on January 20, 1949. Kathleen lived in many locations throughout the United States, South America and Indonesia. She never lost her enthusiasm and curiosity for the different people and cultures she experienced. She loved teaching and the learning process. Kathleen is survived by: 2 children Richard Allen (Carla) Setter of Thorp, WI Mary (Ed) Bock of Minneapolis, MN A granddaughter, Chri Bianca Setter 1 sister, Dolores Raleigh Zilch And other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Setter, her parents and a sister, Pauline Raleigh Leef. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, January 24, 2004 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Reverend Tom Krieg officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Menomonie. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
