June Nehm (93) passed away Dec. 4, 2015. She was born in Canada to Edna and Charles Bowlin. Her only surviving sibling, out of 11, is Charlotte Sabinash of Milwaukee, WI. June raised five children, all born in Eau Claire. She lived in Menomonie, as did her mother-in-law, Anna Nehm, also buried in Peace Lutheran Cemetery with other family members. The family then moved to the St Paul, MN area; then June and Vern moved to Florida where they eventually retired. She worked at Remington Rand in Minneapolis back when computers were just starting and still programed on punch cards. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Vernon Nehm in 1985 and her youngest daughter, Lynda (Nehm) Varchminn in 2010. June is survived by sons Douglas (Chris) Nehm of Blaine, WA and Richard (Kathy) Nehm of Roseville, MN; daughters Connie Spengler of Tucson, AZ and Sharon (Bruce) Kershaw of St James City, FL. Doug has 4 children, 4 grands, and 3 great-grands; Richard has 3 children and 2 grands; Connie has 2 children and 2 grands and is expecting her first great-grand. Many Nehm/Bowlin/Sell/Hasse cousins live in the Wisconsin and Minnesota area, come and get acquainted. All are invited to this memorial for mother June and daughter Lynda at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church, 917 7th St East, Menomonie, WI with Pastor Kristine Stedje officiating. Burial will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in Menomonie. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a luncheon at the church following the burial.
