Jenny L. Larson Obituary (1970 - 2020)

Jenny LaVera Larson, age 49, of Menomonie passed away on April 19, 2020 at MCHS- Eau Claire. She was born May 22, 1970 in Menomonie to Myron “Mike” Larson and LaVera (Stratton) Larson. Jenny was the youngest of five children and lived in the Menomonie, Knapp, area all her life. She attended CVTC and earned a childcare degree. Jenny was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie. Jenny married Chad Schutts in 1991 and to this union a son was born, Channer. They later divorced. She was proudest of her two sons, Kyle Larson and Channer Schutts. Kyle and Channer were her life. (And those were her own words.) And her favorite time was when they both were home at the same time. (She gleefully would call and say both my boys are home.) She enjoyed her sons' baseball and football games, where she could cheer like the proud mom she was. She was so proud when the boys would get a nice deer or a nice fish in a tournament. Jenny ran an at home child day care for most of her life. Then went on to work with the disabled in their homes. Most recently, Jenny was employed at UW Stout, as a custodian. She loved working at Stout and being around so many people there. At Stout, she felt pride and went on to meet new friends. Jenny has always loved babies and was fond of her cats Whisper and Tigger. She adored her great niece, baby Aria. She bought Aria her first Halloween pumpkin and Easter hat. Jenny enjoyed clipping coupons and shopping. Reading a good book was her favorite thing to do. She also liked thrift sales, going to them and having them. Jenny is survived by her sons Kyle (Sabrina) Larson and Channer (Tia) Schutts; three brothers Delvin (Debbie), Roger and Curtis Larson; a sister Christine (Tony) Owens; all in Menomonie area. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Myron “Mike” and Lavera (Stratton) Larson. Private burial took place in Tramway Cemetery, Town of Menomonie, Dunn Co. WI. A public Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
