Janice C. Mercier Obituary (1933 - 2019)

Janice C. Mercier, age 86, of Menomonie, WI died Monday, Nov. 11, 2019 at The Neighbors of Dunn County. The former Janice Ouimet was born Jan. 9, 1933 in Chippewa Co. WI to William and Doreen (Brunette) Ouimet. She grew up in the Cornell, WI area where she attended school. Janice married Paul Semanko in 1953. He died in 1972 and she later married Donald Mercier in 1976. Reading, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles were her favorite past-times. Janice is survived by her children, Thomas (Debra) Semanko, Jean (Don) Knutson, Mary (Mark) Beasanski and Constance (Jeff) Hoyt; she is also survived by many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Paul and Donald; son Zachary; grandsons’ Jamie Semanko and Craig Harvey. There will be visitation with viewing and a luncheon between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. Burial will follow in Cedar Falls Cemetery in the Town of Red Cedar, Dunn Co. WI.
