JAMES M. SIMS James M. Sims, age 75, of Menomonie, WI died Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Myrtle Werth Hospital-Mayo Health System in Menomonie. He was born Dec. 4, 1928 in Mountainburg, Arkansas to Jesse W. and Sara (Kilpatrick) Sims. As a young child he moved with his family to Oklahoma. Jim worked as a pipeliner for over 25 years all across the United States and in Argentina. He has lived in the Menomonie area since 1972. He enjoyed playing pool, gardening and singing and playing guitar. He was also known as the world champion bread maker. Jim is survived by: 6 sons and 3 daughters Jimmy (Brenda) Sims Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK Kenneth Sims of Muldrow, OK Carol Cindy (Steve) Short of Muldrow, OK Billy (Gina) Sims of Muldrow, OK Tim Sims of Menomonie John Sims of Arkansas Jennifer (Wayne) Flick of Knapp Shalako Sims of Knapp 20 grandchildren Several great-grandchildren 1 brother and 3 sisters Leonard Sims of CA Esta London of Muldrow, OK Lena Mae London of Muldrow, OK Mugs Nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Starr and Quanuna Sims; and one sister, Katie Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Rev. Steve Crites officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Menomonie. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday and an hour prior to the service on Monday.
