Harriet G. Suneson Obituary (1918 - 2013)

Harriet Grace Suneson, age 95, formerly of Boyceville, WI passed away peacefully with hospice, on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 at Spring Valley Villas in Spring Valley, surrounded by her three daughters. The former Harriet Grace Hart was born July 14, 1918 in the Town of Stanton, Dunn Co. Wisconsin to William and Martha (Price) Hart. On Sept. 30, 1939 Harriet married Richard Suneson. Together they farmed on their dairy farm north of Boyceville. After retiring they built a home in Boyceville where Harriet and Richard lived until Dec. 24, 2011. They then made their home at Spring Valley Villas. Harriet loved vegetable and flower gardening, baking, quilting for her family, and at Trinity Lutheran Church. In her earlier years she and Richard belonged to a 500 Card Club. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards at the Villas and sitting in the sun room. Harriet also enjoyed traveling and in the winter she and Richard made their home in warmer climates. Harriet is survived by her three daughters; Audrey Clarke of Oakdale, MN, Carla (David) Klingman of Knapp, WI, Sandra (Elgin) VanAnken of Bloomington, MN; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brother Earl Hart; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; one brother Ray; and three sisters, Doris, Marion and Lorraine. Harriet was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville. There will be visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville. A private service will be held with burial at Mound Cemetery. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
