H. Joyce Myers Obituary (1930 - 2018)

H. Joyce Myers, age 88 of Knapp, Wisconsin passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at Mayo Health Clinic System of Menomonie. She was born February 20, 1930 in Stuart Iowa to Dwight and Ethel (Lambert) Myers. Joyce was raised and went to school in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. She graduated from High School in Hammond, Wisconsin. Joyce farmed and raised three girls near Glenwood City for many years, later moved to Boyceville and went to school to become a CNA. She did home health care in the Menomonie area before she retired and moved to Knapp. Joyce was a 41-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 330 of Wilson logging many hours of sewing for the Veteran's Hospitals. She was a member of Knapp Methodist Church and the UMW. She is survived by three daughters; Nancy Kahler of Sturgis, S.D. Elsie (Bob) Obermueller of Wilson, Janet (Dave) Bladecki of Glenwood City, 8 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 6 great, great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Knapp Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Vettrus officiating. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Knapp Wisconsin. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
