Gwendolyn E. Manske Obituary (1927 - 2021)

Gwendolyn E. Manske, age 94, of Menomonie, WI passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, at Our House Assisted Living in Menomonie. She was born July 9, 1927, in Menomonie, WI to Ira and Mildred (Thorn) Kohnke. On Sept. 20, 1947, Gwen married Galen Manske at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie. Together they farmed in the Town of Dunn, Dunn County for many years. Farming and family were Gwen’s passions, and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Gwen is survived by her daughter Joy Manske and son Scott (Debra) Manske all of Menomonie; also, a granddaughter Sara (Wilbert) Barnes; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Galen; a son William and infant daughter Calla; a brother Elmer Kohnke and sister Lenore “Butch” Trask. Private graveside services will be held at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Menomonie, Dunn Co. WI. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family.
