Frances M. Evaska Obituary (1934

FRANCES M. EVASKA Frances M. Evaska, age 73, of Knapp, WI died Friday, March 28, 2008 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie, with hospice. Frances Mary Mitchell was born May 24, 1934 in Menomonie, Wisconsin to William "Willis" and Olga (Kvool) Mitchell. She attended Knapp State Graded School and graduated from Boyceville High School in 1952. On November 15, 1952, Frances married Evan Evaska and three children were born to this union. They later divorced. Fran worked at Doughboy Plastics in New Richmond, Inter State Lumber Co. in Boyceville, 3M in Menomonie, Retz in Wheeler and at the American Lutheran Home and Autumn Village in Menomonie. Fran was a member of the Knapp United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, playing cards, crafting, sewing and gardening. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Fran is survived by: Three children, David (Marriane) Evaska of Lakewood, WA Cynthia (Jeffery) Widgren of Osceola Laurie Evaska (Ken Hensel) of Hammond Grandchildren, David Evaska of Minnesota Shana and Stephanie Evaska of Berlin, Germany Dustin Evaska of Hammond Cory and Logan Widgren of Osceola Five great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents Willis and Olga Mitchell, two brothers, Robert and James Mitchell, and a sister Anna Dahl. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, April 4, 2008 at Knapp United Methodist Church with Rev. James Harrington officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery at Knapp at a later date. Visitation will be from 11:00am until service at 1:00pm at the church. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is handling arrangements.
