ETHEL M. RICHERT Ethel M. Richert, age 85, of Menomonie, formerly of Lake Elmo, MN died Fri., July 25, 2003 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie. The former Ethel M. Kimker was born January 23, 1918 in Stillwater, Minnesota to Herman and Margaret (Holtz) Kimker. She married Harold Richert on July 21, 1938 in Stillwater, where she lived most of her life. Ethel loved being a homemaker, cooking and tending her garden and flowers. She also loved the outdoors, bird watching and feeding the birds. Her home was always open to family and friends. Home was where her heart was. And she was always willing to take care of her two friends, "Brandy" and "Minnie". Ethel is survived by: A son, Harold (Joan) Richert of Stillwater, MN A daughter, Jean (Bill) Schleusner of Menomonie 5 grandchildren Jeff (Karen) Richert Pam (Ron) Schleusner Doug (Sue) Richert Tammy (Mike) Polta Shane Schleusner Great-grandchildren Aaron and Brian Richert Cassie and Travis Schleusner 3 sisters all of Stillwater, MN Florence Kroening, Winifred Kimker and Leona Kimker 1 brother, Ray Kimker of Stillwater, MN Also survived by several nephews and other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; one brother, Ralph Kimker; and a grandson, Paul Richert. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at Christ Lutheran Church in Lake Elmo, MN with Rev. David S. Wall officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery also in Lake Elmo. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is handling the arrangements.
