Edith F. Coyer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Edith Frances Coyer, age 93, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie. She was born on March 5, 1922 in Dunn County, WI to Grover and Mabel (Kegan) Weber and grew up and attended schools in Dunn County. Edith worked at Presto Industries until 1946 when she met Herbert Coyer. They were married on July 13, 1946 in Eau Claire. To this union six children were born. Edith then became a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing with her family and friends. Edith also enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and gardening. Edith is survived by three sons, Eugene of Altoona, Earl (Darlya) of Brooklyn Center, MN and James (Sheila) of Oxford, IA; a daughter, Lanette Coyer of Paola, KS; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; she is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by Herbert her husband of 67 years; her parents; twin sons, Wayne Donald and Michael Robert; a brother Woodrow and three sisters, Alice, Dora and Vera. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Mary Eide officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery, Township of Stanton, Dunn County, WI.
