Dorothy Hazel Norton Obituary (1939 - 2015)

Dorothy H. Norton, age 75, of Menomonie, WI died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. She was born Sept. 14, 1939 in Menomonie to Wilson and Edna (Ferry) Norton. Dorothy attended Bilse Elementary School near Ridgeland and then worked on the Bilse dairy farm for many years. The last 18 years Dorothy has lived with Bob and Ruth Potter. Dorothy loved attending the Shirley Doane Senior Center, playing cards and other games. She loved the animals at the Potters and especially enjoyed the Potter grandchildren. She also loved attending Cedar Brook Church with Bob and Ruth. Dorothy saw the good in all things and in all people. She will be missed by all who knew her. Dorothy is survived by a sister, Lauretta Lamb of Auburn, CA She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Verland and Bill Norton; two half-brothers, Frederick and Gerald Kaiser; and a half-sister, Arlys Hanson. A gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. Burial will take place at Sherman Cemetery, Town of Sherman, Dunn County, WI.
