David A. Klingman
April 23, 1943 - February 26, 2020
David Arthur Klingman, age 76, of Knapp Wisconsin, passed away peacefully from pulmonary fibrosis at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire with family at his side on February 26, 2020. He was born to Arthur and Lelia (Butler) Klingman on April 23, 1943 in Menomonie, Wisconsin. David went to Peck Elementary and Boyceville High School where he graduated in 1961. David married Carla Suneson on June 22, 1963. They lived in St. Paul of a couple of years and then bought David’s family farm in April of 1967. They had a dairy farm until 1998 and David continued to cash crop until his passing. He also worked at J&J Electric for many years. David loved to hunt and fish. He went to Canada walleye fishing at least twice a year for the past 55 years. David is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carla, his daughters; Wendy (Mike) Swatzina and Melissa (Mike) Hofacker, grandchildren; Jenna, Jared, Mack, Justin, Nick and Taylor, fur babies; Oscar and Rosie as well as many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, five sisters; Evelyn, Mildred, Jessie, Shirley and Ardy, four brothers; Jacob (aka Bill), Richard, John and twin brother Donald. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyceville, Wisconsin with Pastor Brad Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Teegarden Cemetery in the Town of Lucas, Dunn County, WI. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
