Corinne L. Wold Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Corinne L. Wold, age 88, of Menomonie, WI passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017 at The Neighbors of Dunn County. She was born Oct. 20, 1928 in Menomonie to John and Lydia (Smith) Wold. Corinne attended North Grade School and graduated from Menomonie High School June 7, 1946. Corinne worked as a secretary at Wisconsin Milling Company from 1946 to 1953. She then began her career at First National Bank (First Bank and Trust) in Menomonie holding various positions in her 51 years of banking from Jan. 1954 to Feb. 2005. Corinne was an Avon Lady for over 30 years and she was the church organist at Christ Lutheran Church for 30 years. Corinne was actively involved in the Menomonie community. She held offices in many organizations including the Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce, Girl Scouts, Christ Lutheran Church and United Way to name a few. Some of her greatest achievements include the Northwestern Financial Review “Outstanding Woman in Banking 2003”, Citizen of the Year – 1999, Chamber of Commerce – Director of the Year – 1996, Woman of the Year Award – Xi Kappa, Beta Sigma Phi – 1997. She also enjoyed music, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. Corinne is survived by her daughter, Karen (Ron) Wall of Sparta, WI; and two granddaughters, Shelley Wall of Minneapolis and Kristine Wall of La Crosse. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor David Natzke officiating. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Halvorson Cemetery in Menomonie. Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie is serving the family. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Christ Lutheran Church, Monroe County Animal Shelter or United Way of Dunn County.
