Amy C. Thompson Obituary (1979 - 2014)

Amy C Thompson, age 35 of Menomonie, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Thursday, August 7, 2014. She was born in Eau Claire, on May 30, 1979 to James Thompson and Joan (Tucker) Thompson. She grew up in Eau Claire and graduated from North High School in 1998. On December 9, 2001, Amy was joined in life by her beautiful daughter, Brianna, who was her pride and joy, and her best friend. In her younger years, Amy enjoyed sports. She played T-ball, then later softball and also soccer. She enjoyed visiting Tennessee with her mother. Some her favorite activities involved spending time with Brianna and her niece Sophie (aka Sushi). She also liked to take long walks and frequently took pictures of the lovely things she saw in nature. Amy had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. She enjoyed spending time with friends and was loved by all who knew her. Amy is survived by her daughter Brianna and her mother Joan Thompson of Menomonie; her brothers James Thompson (Therese Martens) and Keith Thompson of Eau Claire; her niece Sophie Thompson of Hudson and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James A Thompson. A celebration of Amy's life will be held from 4-7 Pm, Tuesday August 26th, 2014 at Olson's Funeral home in Menomonie.
