Alvin Lee Edgemon Obituary (1953 - 2013)

Alvin Lee Edgemon, age 60 of Menomonie, WI died unexpectedly, Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home. He was born March 7, 1953 in Casa Grande, AZ to Allan and Betty Edgemon. Alvin served in the U.S. Navy attaining the rank of 1st Class Gunners Mate. Alvin married Gwen Ferry on May 3, 1974 in St. Paul, MN. Alvin was a professional "truck driver" and enjoyed the scenic views as he hauled his loads down the road. He loved country music and trucking songs. Fishing and Western movies were favorite things he did along with working on small engines. He is survived by his children, Louise (Troy) Pavlusky, LeRoy (Kelly) Edgemon, Yvonne Edgemon, Jobert (Lynda) Edgemon and Janice Thomas; Grandchildren, McKenzie, Brianna, Daniel, Taylor, Levi, Shylea, Andrea, Kerri; two sisters, Carol (Chuck) Marshall and Linda Birchall; one brother, Reuben (Cindy) Edgemon; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Gwen; parents, Allan and Betty; two brothers, Dennis and Tommy; two sisters, Katherine and Brenda; and his special dog, Fancy. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Olson Funeral Home, Menomonie, WI with Rev. James Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from11:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Olson Funeral Home of Menomonie is serving the family.
