Violet M. Danovsky Obituary (1917 - 2010)

VIOLET M. DANOVSKY Violet M. Danovsky, age 92, of Menomonie, WI passed away Tuesday August 17, 2010 at Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie. Violet Marion Johnson was born Sept. 14, 1917 in the Town of Tiffany, Dunn Co., WI, to Swan and Hildur (Carlson) Johnson. She was baptized on Oct. 14, 1917 in Boyceville. She was raised in the town of Tiffany and graduated from Oak Ridge School. Violet moved to Chicago for a short period of time, returning to Boyceville after her step-mother passed away. Violet married Joseph Danovsky on Jan. 12, 1938 in Glenwood City, WI. Together they farmed in Dunn County for many years. Violet and Joe spent winters in Texas and Arizona and the summer months at Moon Lake. Violet enjoyed sewing, baking, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed. Violet is survived by: Son, Gary (Donnalee) Danovsky of Menomonie Son-in-law, Junior (Corrine) Larson of Menomonie Six grandchildren, Terry (Janet) Larson of Glenwood City Cynthia (Michael) Lee of Menomonie Joe (Mary) Larson of Menomonie Jon (Paula) Danovsky of Knapp Jeff (Tena) Danovsky of Menomonie Brent (Jessica) Larson of Knapp A granddaughter-in-law, Kim (Karl)Dicks of Menomonie 15 great-grandchildren 3 great-great-grandchildren A brother, Arnold Johnson of Menomonie And other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents, Swan and Hildur Johnson; step-mother, Anna Johnson; her husband Joseph in 2004; daughter Shirley Larson and grandson Randy Larson. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 20, 2010 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Geoff Scott officiating. Burial will be at Tiffany Cemetery in Boyceville. There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
