Sigurd T. Olson Obituary (1920 - 2006)

Sigurd Trygve Olson Sigurd Trygve Olson, age 85, of Colfax, passed away January 26, 2006, at Luther hospital surrounded by his family. He was born September 22, 1920, in Colfax, Wisconsin, to Paula (Tiller) and George M. Olson. Sig served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WW II. He married Sally Bosshart July 3, 1952. They resided in Menomonie, moved to Los Angeles, California where he worked for Disney Land. They returned to Wisconsin where he worked in Milwaukee for American Motors Company. Sig retired to the Colfax area in 1979 where he enjoyed spending time with his children, grand children and anyone who wanted to call him grandpa. In recent years he enjoyed his trips to Wal-mart to greet the greeters. He is survived by his wife Sally and his children Dale (Marie) Lindwall, Donald (Susan) Olson, Bonnie (Mike) Bauer, Virginia (Jan) Szalai, Ricky (Laurie) Olson, Tom (Pam) Olson, Brian (Julie) Olson and 17 grandkids, 9 great grand kids, and his beloved dog Chi chi. He was preceded in death by his father George his mother Paula and his brothers & sisters: Palma, Alvin, Garfield, Richard, Edna, Arnold, Phyllis (infancy), Phyllis, Donald. A memorial service will be held at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dan Maxton officiating.
