Ruth "Patricia" Schrader Obituary (1929 - 2012)

R. Patricia Schrader, age 82, of Menomonie, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie. Pat was born November 10th, 1929 on the home farm in Boyceville, Wisconsin to Hallie and Lenore (Johnson) Laberee. She graduated from Boyceville High School in 1947 and shortly after took a job in St. Paul where she worked until meeting the love of her life, Robert Schrader. They were married on January 10th, 1948. They farmed side by side until the farm was sold in 1970 and it was then that Bob and Pat found employment and eventual retirement at the Sandy Lee Manufacturing plant in Menomonie. Her favorite hobby was quilt-making, but she involved herself in many activities including gardening, canning, reading and planting trees. Pat was never known to turn down a game of euchre. Above all else, her many grandchildren brought her much joy and happiness. Pat is survived by her husband, Robert Sons , James (Sue), and David (Mary Jo) both of Menomonie Daughter, Marilyn (Jim) Pitelka, Titusville, FL. Grandchildren; Liz (Lorenzo) Green, Tony Schrader (special lady friend Alisa Irwin), Jon (Hillary) Parsons, Veronica Parsons, Seth (Jennifer) Schrader, Brianna (Jason) Sheck, Allison Schrader, Ben Schrader, Mike (Kristin ) Schrader, Andy (Mandy) Schrader and Timothy Schrader. Great grandchildren are Michael, Matthew, Recelyn, Annelise, Easton and Everett. She is further survived by brothers William Laberee (Cottage Grove, MN), David Laberee (Boyceville), sisters and brothers-in -law Ken and Carolyn Homer (Menomonie), Barney and Ruthie Hazarian (San Jose, CA) and John Hoffman (Oscoda, MI), along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a son, Timothy, her parents, Hallie and Lenore Laberee and parents -in-law, Carroll and Ruth Schrader, brother, Richard Laberee, sisters-in-law, Arlys Laberee, Lois Hoffman, Phyllis Arnette, Judy Laberee, Ardy Laberee and brother-in-law Pat Arnette. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Pastor Dave Whelan officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Immediately following the services there will be a time for lunch and fellowship held at the Dunn County Fish and Game.
