Roger J. Schlottman Obituary (1936 - 2010)

Roger J. Schlottman, age 73, of Boyceville, WI passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. Roger was born on April 14, 1936 on the home farm in the Township of Sherman to Chester and Mae (Harvey) Schlottman. He Attended Clack School and went on to high school until his father's death and then he and his brother (Kenneth), took over the family farm. Roger married Johanna (Anderson) Finder November 29, 1968 In his early years he supplemented the income by working at the Barron County Lime Quarry and also driving truck in the construction of I94 between Menomonie and Hudson. Over the years he and his brother expanded and bought additional farms and crop land and were very successful dairy farmers. They sold the cows in 1997 and continued to farm the land. Roger is survived by his sisters; Arlyss (Larry) Hintzman of Menomonie and Ruth Ann Williams (Gary Fero) of Boyceville and sister-in-law Judy Schlottman of Boyceville. Nieces and nephews; Jeanette (Rick) Halama, Debra (John) Pechmiller, Brenda (Rodney) Stark, Ralph Williams III, Travis Williams, Susan (Tom) Hakanson, Vicky (Bill) Spaeth, Jason (Tammy) Schlottman, Linda (Joe) Rammer, Daniel Dunn, Gary (Becky) Dunn, Dale (Kathy) Dunn, also many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Roger is preceded in death by his wife Johanna, parents Chester and Mae, sister Doris, brother Kenneth, brothers-in-law Charles Dunn and Ralph Williams II. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 12, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Boyceville with the Rev. Timothy Matthaei officiating. Interment will be in the Tiffany Cemetery in Boyceville. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and one hour prior to the service at the church.
