Rodney Eiseth Obituary (1957 - 2014)

Rodney A. Eiseth, age 56, of Menomonie, WI passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was born May 7, 1957 in Menomonie, WI to Donald and Arlene (Frank) Eiseth. He was raised in the Menomonie area and graduated from Menomonie High School. On July 31, 1982 Rod married Audrey Harvey at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie. In their twelve years of marriage they had two children, Tali and Haley. He later married Julie Larson on March 13, 1999 in Bloomington, MN. In 1974, Rod started driving truck for Menomonie Farmers Union Coop and was currently driving for Cedar Country Cooperative. He always made sure all of his customers were taken care of. Rod took great pride in his work and was good at everything he did. He was a great guy who would give the shirt off of his back to anyone who needed it. In his free time, Rod enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He was an awesome son, husband, dad, and grandpa. Rod is survived by his wife, Julie; daughters, Taliah Eiseth and Haley (Mitchell) Booth; stepdaughters, Ashley Larson and Nicole Gotlibson; grandchildren, Abagail Larson, Emma Benson, and Graham Eiseth; his parents, Don and Arlene Eiseth; sisters, Karen (Butch) Freeland and Lori (Mark) Karnick; sisters-in-law, Joyce York and Mary (Duane) Hendrickson; brother-in-law, Mark Larson; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and many aunts and uncles. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Geoff Scott officiating. There will be visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran/Halvorson Cemetery in Menomonie. A reception in Rod's honor will immediately follow at the Off Broadway Banquet Center (1501 North Broadway, Menomonie).
