Richard T. Tylee Obituary (1938 - 2007)

RICHARD T. TYLEE Richard T. Tylee, age 68, of Menomonie, WI died Friday, June 22, 2007, at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie, after a battle with illness. He was born Oct. 14, 1938 in Menomonie, WI to Thomas and Irene (Lauber) Tylee. He grew up and lived most of his life in Menomonie. In 1970, Richard married Bettina J. Nichols in Cleghorn, WI. They resided in Knapp, WI for short period and then moved to their residence in Menomonie, WI. This residence is where he stayed until the time he moved to the Dunn County Health Care Center to cope with Parkinson's Disease and dementia. Richard held many jobs through his lifetime, the most memorable being his farm of honeybees, which he took over from his parents in 1976 and continued to keep until 1992. Richard is survived by: His wife, Bettina "Tina" of Menomonie His children, Cindi (Doug) Wieman of Menomonie Anthony "Tony" Tylee of Menomonie Teresa (Mike) Storm of Amery 7 grandchildren A brother, Jerome (LaVonne) Tylee of Harris, MN He is also survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Irene Tylee, grandparents Albert and Lulu Tylee and William and Elizabeth Lauber. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Christ Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Geoff Scott officiating. Family and friends are welcome at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial with military honors will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI, at a later date.
