Richard C. Quilling Obituary (1932 - 2006)

RICHARD C. QUILLING Richard Charles Quilling, age 74, of Elk Mound, WI died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at his home. He was born January 18, 1932 in the Town of Red Cedar, Dunn Co., WI to Leonard and Lillie (Lentz) Quilling. Richard was baptized and confirmed at Salem Iron Creek Church where he was a life long member. Richard attended Iron Creek Country School and graduated from Dunn County Aggie. He was a member of the F.F. A. and the Spring Brook 4-H Club and was later a member of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau. He was born and raised on the family's Century Farm in the Town of Red Cedar. On June 26, 1959 Richard married JoAnne Lone at the First Baptist Church in Augusta. Together they owned and operated the family farm until Richard's death. Richard was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed hunting in his younger years. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Richard is survived by: His wife, JoAnne 5 sisters and 1 brother, Marjorie Quilling of Elk Mound Ruth Mueller of Inver Grove Hts., MN Betty (Maynard) Moe of Menomonie Mary (Robert) Trainor of Menomonie Marshall (Jo) Quilling of Menomonie Marlys (George) Churchill of Elmwood Sisters-in-law, Marie Quilling of Elk Mound and Arlys Lone of Augusta Brothers-in-law, Dale (Linda) Lone of Augusta and John (Ione) Lone of Augusta Also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Alvin Quilling and an infant brother, Loyd Lavern Quilling. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 at Salem Iron Creek United Methodist Church in the Town of Spring Brook, Dunn Co., WI with Pastor Margaret DeMaris officiating. Family and friends are welcome at the church from 10:00 AM Saturday until the time of the service. Burial will be in Iron Creek Cemetery also in the Town of Spring Brook.
