Richard "Dick" Grambo Obituary (1924 - 2012)

Richard F. "Dick" Grambo, age 88, formerly of Menomonie, WI died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Monroe Manor in Barron with hospice. He was born February 20, 1924 in the Town of Red Cedar, Dunn Co. WI to Frank and Lillie (Cook) Grambo. Richard married Beatrice Shane on August 5, 1943 in the Beyer Settlement parsonage in the Town of Red Cedar. Dick owned and operated the family dairy farm until 1970 and later worked as a general contractor until his retirement in 1990. After retiring, he and his wife enjoyed traveling before settling in Rice Lake where they lived for a number of years. Dick also loved hunting and fishing. Dick is survived by three sons, Carlton (Sheryl Grace) Grambo of Menomonie, Donald Grambo (Pam Nosko) of Connorsville and James (Luthy) Grambo of Copperas Cove, TX; four grandchildren, Lance C. (Jenifer) Grambo, Kimberly K. Grambo (Jesse) Delgado, James D. Grambo and Gabrielle D. Porter Grambo; four great-grandchildren, Samantha, Zachary, Noelle and Jarek; Jeanne, mother of Kimberly and James. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beatrice, 1 brother and 2 sisters. There will be visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie followed by a Graveside Service at Peace Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Menomonie, Dunn Co. WI with Chaplain Dale Freberg officiating.
