Raymond L. Ayers Obituary (1936 - 2017)

Raymond L. Ayers, age 81, of Menomonie, WI passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie. He was born July 11, 1936 in Wilson, WI the eldest son of Clifford and Julia (Ames) Ayers. He attended the State Graded School in Wilson. In 1942, the family moved to the Ames farm in Glenwood City. Ray farmed with his father until his father’s passing then he and his mother ran the farm. Ray is survived by his sister Corrine (Jerry) Cassellius and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Stanley and sisters, Arlene O’Rourke, Carol Maier, and Catherine Strange. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Pastor Mitch Nelson officiating. There will be visitation at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hersey, WI
