Pearl A. Schneck Obituary (1910 - 2008)

PEARL A. SCHNECK Pearl A. Schneck, age 97, of Menomonie, WI passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008 at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie. The former Pearl Alice Quilling was born April 26, 1910 in the Town of Spring Brook, Dunn Co. WI to Samuel and Anna (Dahms) Quilling. She married Herbert Schneck on Feb. 15, 1930 in Menomonie. They lived on the Quilling family farm in the Town of Spring Brook for many years, later moving into Menomonie. Pearl resided at Autumn Village before moving to the American Lutheran Home in 2001. Pearl was an active member of Salem Iron Creek United Methodist Church for many years. She belonged to the church Ladies Aide and the church choir. After moving into town, they belonged to the Menomonie United Methodist Church. Pearl enjoyed cooking, baking and needlework and she loved watching birds. She was a Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan and enjoyed most sports. She loved her family and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Pearl is survived by: Her children, Maurice (Jean) Schneck of Owatonna, MN and children Sandra, Debra, Steven, William and Kathy Eugene (Sue) Schneck of Paducah, KY and son Paul Donald (Barbara) Schneck of Denver, CO and children Jeffery, Pamela, Christine and Patricia Shirley (Richard) Neumann of Marysville, CA and children Ann Marie, Mark, Paul and Mary Francis Janet (Victor) Rhodes of Menomonie and children Scott, Kurt and Lynnette Bonnie (Curtis) Hagberg of Menomonie and children Lori, Lisa and Brian 28 great-grandchildren 1 great-great-granddaughter Nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert Schneck, brothers Earl (Alice) Quilling and Ralph (Julia) Quilling, sisters Mable (George) Wagner and Florence (Earl) Sipple, and a grandson Dale Schneck. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008 at Salem Iron Creek United Methodist Church in the Twp. Spring Brook, with Pastor Margaret DeMaris and Pastor Paul Pillman officiating. Burial will be in Iron Creek Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
