Mabel Indermuehle Obituary (1919 - 2004)

MABEL E. INDERMUEHLE Mabel E. Indermuehle, age 85, of Menomonie, WI died Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. The former Mabel Elizabeth Roth was born January 8, 1919 in Downsville, WI to Martin and Emma (Stalder) Roth. She was born and raised on a farm near Downsville where she attended school. Mabel married Fred Yaun, a cheesemaker at Teegarden Cheese factory, in 1938 in Downsville, WI. Together they owned and operated a large dairy farm west of Menomonie. During this time Mabel was actively involved in 4-H, and at Peace Lutheran Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and was active in various women's functions. After Fred's death in February of 1961, Mabel later married Ernest Indermuehle on Sept. 8, 1962 at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie. During these years Mabel was active as an Avon and Stanley Sales Representative. She was also employed by the Office of Aging as a homecare provider. Mabel was baptized, confirmed and a life-long member of Peace Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed traveling with Ernest throughout the country, and she loved taking care of a variety of lovely houseplants. Mabel will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Mabel is survived by: Her husband, Ernest of Menomonie, WI 2 daughters and 1 son, Lillian (Wiard) Taggart of Everett, WA Casper (Ruth) Yaun of Oregon, WI Janet Commo of Newport, NC 8 grandchildren, Michael, Paul, Pamela, Damon and Nancy Taggart; Tina Dent, Bonnie Kugler and John Courtney 7 great grandchildren 2 sisters, Vivian Koenig of Eau Claire, WI Irene Baroldi of Cypress, CA She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Fred Yaun; and a sister, Virginia Dahler. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, Nov. 29, 2004 at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Rev. Dave Whelan officiating. Burial will be in Teegarden Cemetery in the Town of Lucas, Dunn Co., WI. Family and friends may call at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday. The family suggests memorials to Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie.
