Flug, age 84, of Ridgeland, WI went home Monday, October 14, 2002 at Myrtle Werth Hospital-Mayo Health Systems in Menomonie surrounded by his family. LeRoy was born Jan. 25, 1918 in the twp. of Wilson, Dunn Co. to Carl and Etta (McEwen) Flug. He married Esther Melrose on Sept. 24, 1944 in Sand Creek, WI. LeRoy farmed in Ridgeland. He also did custom work including combining, haying and corn picking to be distributed around the United States. He also worked at the Creamery in Ridgeland and the Turkey Store in Barron. LeRoy also could repair anything. Also his heart and home were open to everyone, and the coffee pot was always on. LeRoy is survived by: His wife, Esther Flug of Ridgeland, WI 4 daughters and 3 sons Sharon (Joseph) Siegert of Marine, MN Dennis Flug of Mosinee, WI Sandy Lomen of Wauzeka, WI David Flug of Blaine, MN Gary (Barb) Flug of Marine, MN Bonnie (David) Meyer of Dallas, WI Carol Glaser (Randy Hamann) of Blaine, MN A son-in-law, Duke Lomen of Westby, WI A daughter-in-law, Della Flug of Blaine, MN 13 grandchildren Danny & Chad Lomen, Robin Green, Jolene Heaton, Michael Bowe, Christopher & Rebecca Meyer, Alice Glaser, Melissa, Sean and Sara Flug, Doug Golden, Becky Hemple 10 great-grandchildren Nicole, Joseph and Jacob Green, MKalia Meyer, Hannah, Logan and Zachery Lomen, Kristine, Kory and Kayla Hemple 1 brother and 2 sisters Dale Flug of Altoona, WI Lorraine Peterson of Menomonie Lila Nelson of Dallas, WI Other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Irene Nelson and Mildred Mork; 1 brother, Milo Flug; 3 brothers-in-law, Marvin Nelson, Morris Peterson and Morris Mork Visitation Wed., Oct. 16 from 5 - 7 PM at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. A lunch for family and friends will be held on Thursday, Oct 17 at 12 noon at Hay River Lutheran Church, twp. of Hay River. A private graveside service will be held.
