Laurel G. Mittlestadt Obituary (1929 - 2009)

LAUREL G. MITTLESTADT Laurel G. Mittlestadt, age 79, of Boyceville, WI passed away Friday, January 09, 2009 at home, surrounded by his family. Laurel was born on May 5, 1929 on the home farm, in the Township of Stanton, Dunn Co., WI to George and Lena (Sabatke) Mittlestadt. On Sept. 23, 1950, Laurel married Gladys Hyben and together they raised their four children on the home farm. Laurel worked at Lakeside Aluminum in Menomonie, drove truck for Standard Oil, and then returned to the family farm in 1960. Laurel was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and participated in the Antique Auto Club. He was also an officer and board member of the Teegarden Cemetery Association. Laurel is survived by: His wife Gladys His children, Gregory (Ann) Mittlestadt of Menomonie Sally (John) Schuman of Eleva Jeff (Debbie) Mittlestadt of Boyceville Peggy (Paul) Danovsky of Connorsville Grandchildren, Eric (JoDee) Mittlestadt, Aaron (Amy) Mittlestadt, Ashleigh (Nate) Cody, Kyle Schuman, Kevin Schuman, Kori (Jeff) Thompson, Mathew Mittlestadt (Melissa McCormack), Jeremy Mittlestadt (Megan Williams fianc�), Angela Mittlestadt (Troy Leach fianc�), Tracy Danovsky, Joel Danovsky. Great-grandchildren, Jared Danovsky, Madeline Mittlestadt, Adyson Mittlestadt, Landon Mittlestadt and Gracie Thompson. A sister Betty Utpadel of Menomonie He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ronald, and a granddaughter Amy Danovsky. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Steve Schmeling officiating. Burial will be in Teegarden Cemetery in the Township of Lucas, Dunn Co., WI. There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, and at the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
