Larry Edquist Obituary (1916 - 2005)

LAWRENCE G. "LARRY" EDQUIST Larry G. Edquist, age 88, of Menomonie, WI died Thursday July 7, 2005 at the Dunn County Health care Center in Menomonie. He was born August 17, 1916 in Poplar, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Edith (Nutt) Edquist. Larry attended school in Poplar and later married the former Madelyn LeMone. He was employed by the Great Northern Railroad in Superior, WI and Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, WA. He later moved back to his home town and worked on various farms in Wisconsin. His last place of employment was in Menomonie. Larry is survived by: 2 daughters and 1 son Donna Cox of Oskkosh Sandi Larsen of Champlin, MN Bruce Edquist of Glenwood City 3 sisters Bernice (Art) Carlson of Superior Elaine Popovich of Superior Leona (Ernie) Ronn of Maple Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins He is also survived by a special friend and companion, Phyllis Hintzman of Menomonie Other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother and father; 4 brothers, Roy, Albert, Melvin and Iver; 1 sister, Louise; and aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. There will be a Memorial Service at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, with Rev. Dave Whelan officiating. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
