Larry R. Kahl Obituary (1944 - 2015)

Larry R. Kahl, age 70, of Prairie Farm, WI passed away at Mayo Clinic Health System – Menomonie. He joined his sons in heaven on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, surrounded by all of his immediate family. He was born June 9, 1944 in Prairie Farm, WI to Ted and Doris (Karlstad) Kahl. He was raised in Prairie Farm and graduated from Prairie Farm High School in 1962. On April 11, 1964 Larry married Susan J. Abbuehl. Larry drove truck for a living. He loved working on his cars and trucks; also taking care of his garage and especially spending time with his family. Larry is survived by his wife, Susan; his mother Doris M. Kahl; two sons, Todd and Rob Kahl; a daughter, Shara Kahl (Clay); two daughters-in-law, Missy Kahl and Julie Kahl; grandchildren, Christopher, Cody, Shawna, Chad (Krystal), Brandon (Mandy), C.J., Tyson, Tanner and Micadin Kahl, Trenton and Korzyn Miller; five great-grandchildren; as well as brothers and sisters –in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends that he made during his long trucking career. He was preceded in death by his sons, Rod and Tory Kahl; his father Ted Kahl; a sister Carol Kahl; paternal grandparents, Anna and Henry Kahl; maternal grandparents, Minnie and Oliver Karlstad. A Celebration of Life may be held at a later date. A benefit fund has been set up at Dairy State Bank, 100 E. Hepburn St. Prairie Farm, WI 54762, make memorials payable to Susan J.
