Lanett L. Marshall Obituary (1927 - 2011)

Lanett L. Marshall, age 84, formerly of Menomonie, WI passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO. Her daughter and family were at her side. Lanett Louise Marshall was born April 15, 1927 in Menomonie, the daughter of Gustav and Lulu (Hess) Wendt. On September 16, 1946 she married Stanley Marshall in Stillwater, MN. Lanett attended St. Paul's Lutheran School and Dunn County Normal School. She taught kindergarten for 33 years. Her teaching began at Birthmann School with all eight grades. Then she taught at Wheeler, Knapp, Downsville and River Heights in Menomonie. Lanett is survived by: Her daughter, Sheila (John) Grgurich of Washington, MO 4 grandchildren, Stacey (Eric) Wilder, Marissa Grgurich, Anthony (Theresa) Grgurich, and James (Stacy) Grgurich 3 great-grandchildren, Ian Grgurich, Johnathon and JoAnna Grgurich A brother, Clifford (Carol) Wendt of Menomonie, WI Many nieces and nephews A cousin, Frank Wendt of WI And other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley Marshall; a son, David Marshall; her brothers, Allen, Roy and Marvin Wendt; and an infant brother, Wilmer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Pastor Keith Schleis officiating. There will be visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Knapp.
