Junior W. Dahms Obituary (1929 - 2007)

JUNIOR W. DAHMS Junior W. Dahms age 78, of Menomonie, WI died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at his home with hospice. He was born March 24, 1929 in the Town of Spring Brook, Dunn Co., WI to William D. and Mabel (Giese) Dahms and was baptized and confirmed at the Salem Iron Creek United Methodist Church in the Town of Spring Brook. In 1941, Junior moved to Menomonie with his family. He graduated from Dunn County Aggie in 1947. After high school, Junior served with Co. A 1-128th Inf. in the Wisconsin National Guard. He married Lois Guenther on Aug. 9, 1951 at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie. They resided in Menomonie and Junior worked at Flint Printing for 45 years. Following his retirement, he enjoyed working at the East Side Wonder Wash. Junior was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He also loved telling jokes and enjoyed the interesting conversations with everyone he met. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Junior is survived by: His wife, Lois His children, Charlene (Gerry) Boots of Menomonie Randy (Barb) Dahms of Menomonie Kathy (Steve) Burgraff of Menomonie Brian (Pam) Dahms of Scottsdale, AZ Jody (Stacy) Dahms of Lakeville, MN His pride and joy were his 12 grandchildren, Matthew and Mitchell Boots Heather and Nathan Dahms Brady, Bob, Bill, Andy and Brianna Burgraff Joshua Dahms Brycen and Ashton Dahms And other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother LaVerne, and two sisters Burnetta Link and Ethel Duffenbach. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie with Pastor David Whelan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 11:00 AM until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
