Judith Meyers Obituary (1937 - 2006)

JUDITH P. (KNOPPS) MEYERS Judith P. Meyers, age 68, of Mendota Heights, MN and formerly of Menomonie, WI died August 4, 2006 after battling cancer for 7 � months. Judy died at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN surrounded by her family. The former Judith Patricia Knopps was born Oct. 24, 1937 in Menomonie, WI, the daughter of Francis and Helen (Bakke) Knopps. She attended Evergreen Valley grade school and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1955. After high school she graduated with a B.S. degree from U.W. Eau Claire and later moved to Minnesota where she received her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Minnesota. Judy was married to Donald Meyers and later divorced. She has resided in Minneapolis and Mendota Heights for the past 40 years. Judy is survived by: Her son, Timothy Meyers of Mendota Heights, MN Cousins, Marian (Ray) Hammond of Spring Valley and their sons, Gary and Paul Hammond John (Carol) Bakke of Menomonie Marlys (George) Jimos of Menomonie and their sons, Marc and Jason Jimos She was also survived by other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Knopps and her mother, Helen "Tutz" Knopps Einum and other loved ones. Judy's wishes were to be cremated. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 at Mamre Cemetery in the Town of Menomonie, Dunn Co., WI with Rev. David Whelan officiating.
