John R. Fredrickson Obituary (1932 - 2006)

JOHN R. FREDRICKSON John R. Fredrickson, age 73, of Menomonie, WI died Sunday, July 23, 2006 at his home suddenly and very peacefully. John Raymond Fredrickson was born on December 24, 1932 in Bridger, MT, to John and Frances (Syblon) Fredrickson. He grew up on a farm in Montana. On December 17, 1954 he married Shirley Holton and they spent the next 52 years together. In 1967, he moved to Eden Praire, MN where he worked for Hesston Corporation for 13 years. Then in 1980, John took a job in Menomonie as branch manager for Farm Systems of Mankato. With his experience there, he decided to open his own business in Menomonie in 1983. It was called Menomonie Farm Sales/Specialty Sales. He worked for many years with grain handling equipment and drying systems. More recently, John was driving truck over the road. John's hobbies included skydiving, scuba diving, motorcycling, and playing guitar. John is survived by: His loving wife, Shirley A daughter, Karen Fredrickson of Forest, WI A son, John "Jutebox" (Darci) Fredrickson, Jr., of Menomonie, WI Three grandchildren, Jesse and Jaime Fredrickson-Bernier, and Joby Lindy One great-granddaughter, Charlotte Mendosa A brother, Edwin (Darlene) Fredrickson of Bridger, MT Nieces and nephews And other relatives and friends and his little dog, Missy He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be at 7:00 PM Friday, July 28, 2006 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday.
