Janice L. Young Obituary (1937 - 2017)

Janice L. Young, age 79, of Menomonie, WI passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017. She was born July 18, 1937 in Brule, WI to Reuben and Catherine (Williams) Trentor. On May 18, 1957, Janice married Jack Young in Carlton, MN. Together they had three children, Jackie, Allen and Cathy. They spent many years in Superior, then moved to Menomonie in 2003 to be closer to her family. Janice was a homemaker most of her life. Her greatest joy was family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved shopping and an occasional trip to Superior to visit family and friends. She also enjoyed ceramics for many years and she enjoyed watching her (knee slapping) game shows. She will be greatly missed. Janice is survived by two daughters, Jackie (Randy) O’Bryan and Cathy Oksness; a son Roger Loeb; 15 grandchildren, Bridget (Brock) Meriwether, Milo Young, Bradley Benson, Marilla Benson (Wayne Bignell), Tonya (TJ) Johnson, Kenneth (Jenny) Fry, Terra (Jerry) Goetsh, John Young, Larry Young (Shadie), Deseree (Clint) McKinnon, Bill (Ally) Swanson, Zack and Andy Morgan, Mike and Matt Oksness; several great-grandchildren; a special friend and caregiver Audra Diess; sisters, Charlotte and Catherine; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Reuben and Catherine Trentor; her husband Jack Young; a son Allen Young; granddaughter Nikki Roy Caturia; two brothers and five sisters; and son-in-law Dan Oksness. There will be a visitation from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie.
