Idell Hinzman Obituary (1917 - 2005)

IDELL M. HINZMAN Idell M. Hinzman, age 88, of Albany, Oregon formerly of Menomonie, Wisconsin died Friday, July 8, 2005 at Cambridge Terrace in Albany. The former Idell Margaret Schultz was born March 14, 1917 in Spring Valley, WI the daughter of Joseph and Bertha (Moll) Schultz. She was raised in Spring Valley and married Elmer August Ernst Hinzman on July 5, 1936 in Menomonie. He preceded her in death June 7, 1980. Idell lived within 17 miles of her family's farm until moving to Crabtree, Oregon in the summer of 2000 to be with her son. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, cooking and traveling. Idell will be remembered for her wonderful candies, her great wit, and her ability to live life to its fullest. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the Royal Neighbors. She loved to care for people and was looking after the elderly of her community into her late 60's. Idell is survived by: Two sons, Ron (Louise) Hinzman of Crabtree, OR Gerald (Leila) Hinzman of Bakersfield, CA A son-in-law, Larry Jackson of Colorado Eight grandsons and eight great-grandchildren Also survived by 2 brothers-in-law, Arby Sundstrom and John Harshman And other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Ann Jackson; a great-grandson, Sean Lindsey; three sisters, Ardyth Harshman, Viola Iverson and Shirley Sundstrom; and a brother, Leslie Schultz. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie, with Rev. Dave Whelan officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
