Herbert D/ Schultz Obituary (1933 - 2012)

Herbert D. Schultz, age 79, of Menomonie, WI passed away Tuesday, October 09, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire. He was born April 13, 1933 in the Town of Hay River, Dunn Co. WI to Otto Karl and Mabel (Neyer) Schultz. Herbert married Lillian Schultz on October 6, 1951 in Menomonie. To this union four children were born, Pamela, Steven, Curtis and Scott. Herb and his family resided in the Menomonie area and he worked at Menomonie Brick Company and Hofland's Mill, retiring from Menomonie Farmers Union Co-op Mill in 1994. Herb enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking care of his yard. He was also a Packer fan and always enjoyed a good game of "Boyceville Euchre". Most importantly, Herb enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and friends and will be sadly missed. Herbert is survived by: his wife, Lillian; children, Pamela of Greenfield, WI, Steven (Peggy) of Menomonie, Curtis (Penny) of Menomonie and Scott (Lori) of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Cheyenne (Harley), Eric, Adam (Missy), Magan (Joe), Derik, Rachael, Andrew and Garrett; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Rhodes; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Mabel; a sister, Gladys Heitkamp, a brother Orville Schultz and Jimmy Heitkamp. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Menomonie with Pastor Brett Voigt officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
